Let's work together
At Growing Communicators, I provide dedicated support to families with deaf children, drawing on my extensive personal and professional experience to guide you on this journey. Here’s an overview of how our work together unfolds:
Personalised Approach: My services are not one-size-fits-all; instead, they are tailored specifically to your family’s goals and your child’s interests. Whether you’re looking for guidance in raising a deaf child, developing your Auslan skills or creating a deaf-friendly environment, everything is designed to suit your needs.
Initial Meet and Greet: Our time together begins with a meet and greet session. This allows us to get to know each other, discuss your family’s specific needs, and outline how we can work together effectively. It’s an opportunity for you to ask questions, and for me to understand your goals and preferences.
Session Details: Each session is carefully structured to ensure you feel supported. I focus on making our time together engaging and productive, providing practical strategies and ongoing support.
Sessions are typically one hour in duration, at a frequency that works for your family and are offered in your home in Canberra or online by arrangement.
Customised Learning Experience: Once we’ve established your needs, we’ll dive into it. These sessions are designed to address your family’s objectives, from learning Auslan, to developing communication strategies, or creating supportive environments at home or school.
Explore the detailed service areas below or contact me for any specific needs that aren’t mentioned. I’m here to help and look forward to working with you to support your child’s communication journey.

What Clients Say
We were fortunate to have met Kellyanne when my daughter was still an infant and newly diagnosed. As a deaf person, parent of deaf children, and a qualified Teacher of the Deaf, Kellyanne’s lived experience gave us hope for the future and confidence in our daughter’s potential.
Kellyanne’s support and guidance has been invaluable to our family as our daughter has grown, and especially while we learnt to navigate ‘the system’. From NDIS to daycare and schooling, ablist organisations, Auslan, parenting, and accessing the deaf community, Kellyanne has always provided great advice and mentorship.
Her communication was quick and she would always answer my questions thoroughly. She went above and beyond for our family and we are truly grateful for her and her wisdom. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her to anyone raising a deaf/hoh child.
